Most commissions take five weeks from first consultation to delivery: one week for sketches, two for the wax model and your approval, and two for casting, setting, and finishing. Engagement rings on a deadline can sometimes be expedited — ask early.
Commissions start at $2,800 including metal and labor; the stone is the main variable. We work to a budget you set at the first meeting, and we will tell you plainly what that budget can and cannot buy. No quiet upsells at the wax stage.
96% of our gold and platinum is recycled, refined and assayed domestically. Diamonds are Canadian-origin, emeralds are Zambian, and every colored stone comes with a named source — mine, estate, or archive. If we can't trace it, we don't set it.
Almost always, yes. Bring it in (or ship it insured) and we'll give you a written estimate before touching it. Verdora pieces get free resizing for the first twelve months.
Yes — insurance-grade appraisals with photographic documentation, prepared by our in-house GIA graduate gemologist, delivered within ten business days.
Warm water, a drop of dish soap, and a soft brush — five minutes a month. Skip ultrasonic cleaners for emeralds and pearls; bring those to us instead.
Separately. Diamonds scratch gold, gold scratches pearls. Each Verdora piece ships with its own lined box for exactly this reason.
Ready-to-wear pieces ship within two business days, fully insured with signature on delivery — to 41 countries and counting.
Collection pieces: 30 days, unworn, full refund. Bespoke commissions are yours from the wax approval on — which is why we put so much care into the wax stage.
Whether it's a question of stones, sizing, timelines or turning a family piece into something new, a Verdora jeweller would be glad to help — quietly, patiently, and with no pressure to purchase. Some questions simply deserve a person.
